Digital Preservation at the National Library

"At the National Library our job and our passion is to look after the memory of our nation. Increasingly that memory is encapsulated in a digital world… Our challenge is preserving these precious items so that future generations can access these memories.” - Bill Macnaught, National Librarian
The National Digital Heritage Archive (NDHA) ensures that the National Library of New Zealand (external link) can meet its mandate to build, preserve and provide access to the Library’s digital collections. The NDHA went live in October 2008, and is maintained by the National Library’s Preservation, Research & Consultancy team.
